Gears Training: Exporting Player Data (C3D or CSV format)

DEFINITIONS

  • C3D = a binary format used in biomechanical applications that analyze kinematic motion.
  • CSV = (comma separated values) is a common data exchange format that is widely supported by consumer, business and scientific applications.

EXPORTING DATA (C3D, CSV)

Load the swing or session that you wish to export by clicking the Gears icon and select the session or specific swing.

Click on the summary page icon (known as a hamburger icon) at the top of the screen located between the (i) and Gears icons on the side in which your target player is loaded.

EXPORTING AN ENTIRE SESSION

At the bottom of the summary page, select ‘Export Data’.  This will prompt you to select either C3D or CSV format. The default settings will save the file to the users swing session directory.

EXPORTING AN INDIVIDUAL SWING

Click Export Data, check the box to ‘Export the currently loaded swing only’.  We recommend that you change the directory that you are exporting to. This file (in CSV format) will have all the individual information for that swing including a frame by frame analysis.

EXPORT PLAYERS

Select the Gears icon at the bottom right of the screen, and select Export Players. This will prompt you to name the file before saving as a CSV. This includes the player names, email, gender, and handedness.
